Who We Are
Puntland Development Organization
PDO was founded by group of facilitators, intellectuals, businessmen and professionals living in Puntland regions in May 2006. This organization is non-political, non-government, non-profit making organization but relief, recovery, training, baseline surveys and projects’ development organization.
The PDO NGO was registered and recognized organization in Puntland State of Somalia.

PDO has come within reach of focusing on improvements to the rural and urban community through models of participatory practices among individual and structural empowerment; the objectives of economic wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and socio-cultural vitalization can be met and targeted to its desired set established goals.

Vision Statement
PDO is committed to develop community dialoguing process (DO NO HARM) and mobilize to improve the livelihood mechanism and eradication of poverty. Enabling community with their own plans/projects is a one of PDO’s vision, which is on continual long course. The PDO has access to work and integrate local community more extensively into the basic design as grassroots level.
The PDO has an approach that supports collective action, community empowerment and demand driven local service delivery intended to improve their economic and social conditions.
