On dec 23, 2024 PDO held annual meeting at QARDHO main Office, PDO presented 2024 achievements and strategic plan the year 2025. PDO directors provided a summary of the achievements of the previous strategic plan, which covered the period from Jan 2024 to dec 2024.
The ended strategic plan had four primary thematic objectives: Food Security and Livelihoods and protection; Basic Education Services; and Good Governance, Peace Building, and Research. PDO had this year successful achievement indicated that fully met the goals of the previous strategic plan. PDO then presented the new strategic plan for Jan 2025 to dec 2025, highlighting the expansion of PDO programmatic focus and geographical area. The new strategic plan includes additional goals to address the evolving needs of the communities served. The driving goals of the new strategic plan are Basic Education Services, Food Security, Livelihoods, protection, and Emergency Response, Peace Building, and Research, and Protection and Gender Equality.
To achieve these goals PDO presented all the necessary requirements needed to achieve these goals over the upcoming years. As of the 2023/2024 during the time of the Annua meeting PDO indicated that progress has been made in all aspects of the previous strategic plan, but further efforts will be needed to meet the projected funding target.
Overall, the Annual meeting provided a platform to review the organizational performance, achievements, training sessions, staff capacity building.
PDO remains committed to its mission of providing essential services and support to the communities in need, and the new strategic plan sets the path for PDOs future endeavors.
